It has been almost
2 years since
JASC has had
a new version
of PSP and they
have basically
rebuilt the program
from the ground
up. There is
whole new user
interface, that
is fully customizable,
they have added
a Randomize button
to most of your
effects dialogs,
almost all tools
support presets
and you can save
your own, the
Color Palette
from PSP7 has
been redesigned
into a Materials
Palette, you
can assign your
own keyboard
shortcut commands,
and has a slew
of new effects.
This only partially
covers what is
new in V8.

ESD version or
to spend the

for the Premium
Boxed CD version?
If you purchase
the Premium ESD
version of V8,
JASC will provide
you with the
information for
you to download
your purchased
version immediately.
However, this
only comes with
the Resource
Packs 1 &
2. To get the
full benefit
of all resources
(presets, etc.)
you will then
need to download
Resource Pack
3, which is 115
MB. Also, make
sure you save
your application
download in a
safe place, not
on your computer,
in case you should
happen to have
a computer crash
or get a new
computer. If
you spend the
extra $10.00
you will receive
ALL of the Resource
Packs - no extra
downloading -
a 420 page (plus
index) User Guide
and the CD. JASC
