Shutterfly is a web-based photo service that allows you to store your photos on the web. You can share your albums with your family and friends by sending them an email and it also has an address book where you can store your frequently used email addresses. JASC and Shutterfly are working hand in hand with PSP8, enabling you to upload your graphics directly to Shutterfly after you have set up a free account with them. More options on what you can do with Shutterfly are at the end of my showing you how to upload your images right from PSP8.

The information in this tutorial is in the Read Me file in the newest V8 Beta, however screenshots are worth a thousand words and I hope to make this easy for you. ~smiles~

This tutorial is written in and for PSP8 and assumes you have a working knowledge of PSP.

YOU WILL NEED:

Step 1:
Open your browser, , or go to File-->Browse. Select your folder on the left that contains the images that you want uploaded. Those pictures will appear in the right pane as thumbnails.

Step 2:
Choose the pictures that you wish to upload. To select individual images, hold down the Ctrl key and left click on the images. To select images in a row, hold down the Shift key and left click the first image and the last image - images in between will be highlighted.

Go to File-->Export-->PhotoSharing

Step 4:
In the dialog box that opens click the Create New Account link at the bottom

You will see the PhotoSharing Upload dialog showing the progress of your upload.

When the upload is complete a dialog opens asking if you want to go to Shutterfly to view the images you just uploaded, or click No if you'd like to return to PSP8.

You can go to Shutterfly at any time, login and access your albums.

As you have more images that you would like to have in a certain album, make sure you have the correct name of the album you would like to upload to and type that name in exactly in Upload Album name.

If you have just one image that you would like to add to an album, you can right click on the picture in the browser and choose PhotoSharing from the pop up.

• You can rename your album if you like. Click on the View & enhance button.

Choose the album that you would like to rename by clicking the circle under the album, the circle will become green with white arrows on each side. Click the Rename Album.

Enter the name you would like to change the album to. This is also a space for any notes that you may like to add. Click Save now.

• After you have your albums set up in Shutterfly, you can email those albums to your family and friends. You can share individual pictures or you can share an entire album. Click on the Share online Button.

Choose the album or pictures that you would like to share. I'm sharing an album for this tutorial. Click on Share this album.

The next screen that comes up is the information for emailing. You can either type in your email address(es) or you may choose from the Address Book. Enter the subject and message. They don't have to have a password to view the pictures as long as you check that box. The email will contain a link to the pictures and instructions on how to access them.

If you click on the Choose from Address Book you will get this screen. You can add email addresses here or you can choose from your book.

When you click on next it will bring you back to the screen to add your subject and message. Click on Share now and an email is sent for you.

If you would like to view my Dahlia's click on the link ~smiles~ http://www.shutterfly.com/osi.jsp?i=67b0de21b33a7075e409 After your recipient clicks on the link in their mail and clicks view pictures, they are treated to a slide show of your snaps.

• Shutterfly also has a pay service. You can order prints from your images, you can create a Snapbook, you can create personalized photo greeting cards, and you can choose a picture and frame and write a gift card - Shutterfly will handle the gift wrapping and mail it directly to your recipient.
