Okay, are we all refreshed now? It's nice to get up and stretch once in awhile but don't forget to save often. The main reason I had you close out of PSP, before the break, was that I wanted to make sure that your new pattern would show up when we did the frame. There is a method to my madness.

Before we begin, let's go to our patterns and make sure our file is there. Go to your color palette, styles, pattern and hit the drop down and make sure your pattern is there.

Now we need a graphic. I sure am demanding today aren't I? *grin* I used a still-life painting that I received in my PSP-Addicts group. Update! The graphic is done by the artist Lena Lui. A have not received permission from her to allow you to use the same graphic so I am unable to have the graphic for you to download. There are many fine graphics that you can use for your creation. Please respect artists copyrights. I want to thank Ila for emailing me and letting me know who the artist of the beautiful artwork is.

Step 1:
Open your graphic in PSP and make a copy of it (Shift+D). The main reason for making a copy is in case I want to use the image again and forget to change the name when I save *S* You can close out your original graphic. Remember to save often.

Step 2:
Set your foreground to white and your background to black. Go to Images-->Add Border Make sure that symmetric is checked and add a border of 2. Now you have a small black border around your graphic.

Step 3:
Change your background color to white and make a white border of 10. Take your magic wand (tolerance and feather set at 0) and select the white border -- you will get marching ants around the border. Flood fill with your pattern.

Step 4:
Go to Selections -->Invert and apply the following cutout (Effects-->3D-->Cutout) Vertical and Horizontal Offset = 6; Opacity=75; Blur=14.3 Apply the cutout one more time changing the Vertical and Horizontal offsets to Minus 6.

Step 5:
Go to Selections-->Invert and apply the following Inner Bevel (Effects-->3D-->InnerBevel)

Deselect and Save!

Step 6:
Go to Effects-->Plugins-->NVR Bordermania-->Frame#2 and apply the following settings.

SAVE!

Step 7:
Change your background color back to black and make a border of 2. The reason for doing this is when we make the next white border and you use the magic wand, then none of the white from the pattern border will get picked. Save.

Step 8:
Change your background color back to white and make a border of 18. Get the marching ants moving by using your magic wand and flood fill with your pattern. Apply the inner bevel once more and we are done!

Thank you for doing my tutorial. I realize that it was a bit longer than most and a lot more involved and I hope you learned a lot.
